Was blessed with this little man..No health issues and when he went for his initial health check up at our vet in Queenstown the vets said "he was the best example of a frenchie she had seen"
he thinks hes tough as he has a big sister to back him up. Would not hesitate to get another pup from these guys i often see their new litters and if i could id buy them all. Keep up the great work team. Much love from Queenstown xxxxx

What an amazing breeder to buy our beautiful rojo and tan frenchie from. We flew Rusty down to Nelson with no issue and he has blended into our family home immediately and we are so so thankful for him, he is calm, toilet trained at 8weeks of age and is perfect, he also has so much spunk in him
Olivia has been absolutely supportive throughout this whole process with her communication and knowledge about this breed and made it feel super easy. I could not recommend Le epitome kennels enough.

I purchased my very first French Bulldog from Le Epitome Kennels, I was able to phone and speak with Olivia, and she was very helpful, sent me pics each week. We were lucky to be given the opportunity to purchase our very much loved chocolate pug from Olivia and Alistair at Le Epitome a couple of years ago.
We couldn’t be happier with him, he is the most loving boy with the sweetest attitude with typical pug quirks. He makes the most adorable squark like gurgle when he’s super happy and playful, it is the cutest thing.
When we first got him Olivia was really helpful with guiding us on some options to support raw feeding, something I strongly believe in too. Her knowledge around raw helped direct me to some great options that my dogs really love and benefit from particularly around skin and coat health.
Olivia puts a lot of time and effort into raising her pups, our boy came happily socialized and well on his way with toileting.
We haven’t had any health issues with him, and being one of the very first chocolate pugs born in NZ he is quite the scene stealer!

We got a male blue and tan Frenchie, we called him Freddie. He is the most loving adorable wee thing, super smart and sociable with other dogs and humans. It was a pleasure dealing with Olivia and Alistair - very knowledgeable and gave us great information for diet and supplements. All in all a wonderful experience. 5 star, highly recommend!

We have had our Hunny bea (frenchie) for 10 weeks now she is a right little character very busy and inquisitive she comes to work with me and we call her our mental health dog she gets alot of attention from all the girls in the office, Olivia has been absolutely amazing with everything to do with the meeting, pickup, advice and knowledge i send her pics all the time!!! I picked Iggy up this morning from Olivia and plunged him in the deep end. He met a lot of new people and experienced a lot of things and handled them all with aplomb. He’s a real gift, and Olivia listened carefully to what I needed and knew he was the one for me.
He’s a very special dog who’s going to be healing the hearts of women who’ve lived in violence, that’s his job.

The following review is a long-term update from Jackie Clark. While Le Epitome Kennels now focuses on French Bulldogs and Pugs, this story reflects the care Olivia has always taken in matching the right dog with the right home.
Seven and a half years ago, my husband had died. My elder dog had had to be euthanised. And I knew I wanted a small companion dog.
I had previously only had rescue dogs, but I knew I needed to have a dog with a social temperament.
Because I run a charity, working with women who have survived lifetimes of violence.
So this dog needed to be a therapy dog for them too.
I contacted Olivia and we had an extensive conversation about what I required in a dog. I had decided on a smooth Brussels Griffon.
She found my perfect match — his name is Iggy, and he was perfect.
Over the years, he has been with me to conferences where I have been keynote speaking, he’s sat at my feet whilst I had meetings that lasted for hours.
He has been in safe houses, he has been in women’s homes and lawyers’ offices, and sat with them whilst they have wept.
He’s sat on their laps at my home, slept on the bed with them when they’ve come to my house for a wee break from their lives. He’s made them laugh, so hard. And made them feel loved.
He’s met government ministers and dignitaries, and everyone in between, and very rarely met a person he hasn’t taken to. As long as there’s a lap sit in there somewhere…
It’s hard to describe how much he changed my life. How he opened it up, how much love and adoration I’ve given him, and how much he’s given to me.
And it’s hard to describe how much he’s given to other people.
He has such a big heart, the heart of a lion, and the personality of a clown.
Olivia was thorough in finding me the right pup, and she was right about him. He was, and is, the perfect dog for me. And for all the many people who have come into my life. And I thank her every day for finding me my perfect companion.

We couldn’t be happier with our beautiful pug Chloe from Le Epitome Kennels. She is such a perfect mix of protective, playful, and incredibly affectionate. Chloe has settled seamlessly into our family of four, including our daughter and our handsome little pug, Frank. She absolutely loves her daily walks, enjoys sleeping on our bed, and definitely isn’t shy about using her voice to let us know exactly what she wants. Best of all, she has had no health issues, and we truly can’t imagine life without her. Olivia has been amazing to deal with from the start. She was always accommodating, happy to let us spend time with Chloe, and quick to answer any questions we had. The whole experience has been smooth and reassuring. We highly recommend Olivia and Le Epitome Kennels, and we are already considering adding another pug to the family.

Historic Brussels Griffon Reviews
Le Epitome Kennels has a long breeding history that began well before the company was formally incorporated. Olivia bred her first dog at 16 and later registered dogs with DogsNZ under the earlier kennel spelling Le Epitomy, with our DogsNZ breeding records dating back to approximately 2007.
For many years, our programme included Brussels Griffons, and that earlier Griffon programme forms a significant part of Olivia’s 30 years of breeding experience. Our last Brussels Griffon litter was born in 2025. Some older DogsNZ records, historic references, and reviews may therefore refer to Le Epitomy, Olivia’s name, Griffons, Griffs, or Brussels Griffons from that earlier period.
Le Epitome Kennels now focuses on French Bulldogs and Pugs.
Olivia and her gorgeous Griffins are of beautiful nature. We have had our little Gili just over a year and she has been the most incredible addition to our family. She’s great with kids, has the cutest little personality and so happy we decided to go through Olivia who we found on Facebook
