  • Yes. Le Epitome Kennels is a registered dog breeder in New Zealand. We are registered with Dogs New Zealand and the Master Dog Breeders Association.

We are a boutique Waikato breeder of French Bulldog and Pug puppies, owned and operated by Olivia and Alistair Potter. Our breeding programme focuses on health, temperament, confident socialisation, sound structure, raw feeding, vet checks, and lifelong owner support.

Registration matters, but it is only part of the picture. We believe responsible breeding also means raising puppies properly, being selective about homes, supporting owners after their puppy leaves, and making breeding decisions with long-term wellbeing in mind.

  • Our available French Bulldog and Pug puppies change throughout the year, depending on our current and upcoming litters.

The best place to start is our Available & Upcoming Litters page, where we share recent, current, and planned litters. Not every puppy shown will be available, as some may already be reserved, already sold, or still growing until we have a better feel for their personality and needs.

If we do not currently have the right puppy available, and you really have your heart set on a puppy from Le Epitome Kennels, you are welcome to apply to go on our waiting list. We can then keep you in mind for a suitable future litter.

  • Our puppies are raised in a real family environment, not hidden away from normal life. From an early age, they are exposed to everyday household sounds, people, other dogs, outdoor spaces, water, play, handling, and the normal rhythm of a busy home.

We focus on calm, positive exposure rather than overwhelming puppies with too much too soon. This helps them develop confidence, curiosity, and resilience before they leave us.

Puppies are also introduced to basic routines, including feeding structure, toileting on potty trays, crate or pen time, gentle handling, and short positive interactions. By the time they go to their new homes, our aim is for them to be confident, people-focused, and ready to continue learning with their new owner.ption

  • Our available French Bulldog and Pug puppies change throughout the year, depending on current and upcoming litters.

We do not operate on a “first click, first served” basis. Our focus is on matching each puppy with the right owner, so we encourage genuine enquiries from people who are prepared to offer a suitable, long-term home.

To see what puppies may be available now, or to ask about upcoming litters, please visit our Available & Upcoming Litters page or contact Le Epitome Kennels directly. If we do not currently have the right puppy available, we may be able to place you on our waiting list for a future litter.

  • Item descripYes. Before leaving Le Epitome Kennels, each puppy receives a veterinary health check, their first vaccination, deworming treatment, and microchip details.

We also require new owners to arrange a second vet check within five business days of pickup. This gives you extra peace of mind and helps ensure your puppy is settling in well after leaving us.

Your puppy’s veterinary records and microchip information will be provided at handover.tion

  • Our puppies are raised on a carefully managed raw food diet.

We believe dogs do best on food that closely reflects what they are biologically designed to eat. Our puppies are fed a balanced raw diet from an early age, and we recommend new owners continue this approach after their puppy goes home.

We provide feeding guidance as part of our puppy information, including what your puppy has been eating, how often to feed, and how to continue their diet safely.

Raw feeding is an important part of how we raise our puppies, and we believe it supports their condition, vitality, digestion, skin health, and overall wellbeing.

  • Yes. We often transport puppies to Auckland and Hamilton ourselves, so buyers in those areas may not need to travel all the way to us.

For people living further afield in New Zealand, or overseas where transport is suitable, we can recommend our trusted puppy transport partners.

We know bringing a puppy home is a big moment, so safe, calm, and careful transport matters. If you live outside the Waikato, please contact us and we can talk through the best option for getting your puppy home.

  • Yes. Our support does not end when your puppy leaves us.

We are happy to help as your puppy settles into their new home, including advice around feeding, toileting, crate routines, early training, health questions, and general adjustment.

The first few weeks with a new puppy can be exciting, messy, and occasionally a bit chaotic — that is completely normal. We want our owners to feel supported, informed, and confident as their puppy grows and explores the world with them.

We also invite our owners to join the Le Epitome community, where they can stay connected, share updates, and see other Le Epitome dogs around New Zealand and beyond.
