Join Our Future Puppy Waiting List

Our waiting list is intended for serious homes that would like to be considered for a future Le Epitome Kennels puppy.

We breed coloured French Bulldogs and Pugs with a focus on health, breathing, temperament, structure, confidence and suitability for companion homes. Because every litter and every puppy is different, our waiting list is not simply first-come, first-served.

We consider your preferred breed, sex, colour, coat type, timing, household, lifestyle, dog experience, location and readiness. Puppy temperament, household suitability and the needs of our breeding programme remain central to every allocation decision.

How Our Waiting List Works

1. Complete the waiting-list application below.
2. We review your application and may contact you if we require further information.
3. If we believe your home may be a suitable fit for a future Le Epitome Kennels puppy, we may invite you to join our paid waiting list.
4. Once your application is accepted, the Waiting List Fee is paid and the required agreement is signed, your position becomes active.

Joining the waiting list gives you a paid position in our future puppy matching process and priority consideration when a potentially suitable puppy becomes available.

It does not reserve a particular puppy and does not guarantee a puppy of a particular breed, sex, colour, coat type or timing.

If you later purchase a puppy allocated to you by Le Epitome Kennels, the full Waiting List Fee paid will be deducted from the agreed puppy purchase price.

Puppy Preferences and Allocation

Your preferences are recorded and considered carefully, but they are not guarantees. Puppy availability depends on breeding outcomes, litter size, sex, colour, coat type, puppy health, temperament and the requirements of our breeding programme.

Le Epitome Kennels retains full responsibility for deciding which puppy is suitable for each home. We may retain any puppy for our breeding programme, development, ongoing assessment or welfare needs, including a puppy that appears to match the preferences of someone already on the waiting list.

If the exact type of puppy you initially hoped for does not become available within a reasonable period, we may offer you another available puppy.

You are not required to accept a puppy that does not reasonably suit your recorded preferences or household. Declining an unsuitable alternative will not, by itself, cause you to lose your waiting-list position or forfeit the Waiting List Fee. Where appropriate, your position may continue into a later litter.

Important Information Before Applying

• The waiting list is not a guarantee that you will receive a puppy.
• Preferences for breed, sex, colour, coat type and timing are considered but cannot be guaranteed.
• Estimated waiting times may commonly be between one and three years, depending on what you are seeking and what our litters produce.
• Puppy allocation is based on temperament, household suitability, timing, availability and the needs of the individual puppy.
• Le Epitome Kennels may retain any puppy required for our own breeding programme, development or ongoing assessment.
• Puppies offered through this waiting list are companion pets only unless Le Epitome Kennels expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
• Our Sale and Purchase Agreement contains breeding restrictions. The waiting list is not intended for people seeking a dog for breeding, resale, stud use or other commercial purposes.

Communication and Puppy Offers

Important waiting-list communication is sent by email. Applicants are responsible for keeping their contact details current and checking their inbox and spam folder.

If we offer you a puppy by email, you will normally have 14 calendar days to respond. If you do not respond within that period, the puppy may be offered to another suitable home.

Missing one puppy offer does not automatically remove you from the waiting list. However, if we receive no response to one or more waiting-list emails for three months, we may treat your position as inactive and remove you from the list.

Waiting List Fee

If your application is accepted, a Waiting List Fee of NZD $500 must be paid before your paid waiting-list position becomes active.

The fee purchases your active position in the Le Epitome Kennels waiting-list service, administration of your recorded preferences, ongoing matching consideration and priority consideration for future puppies before suitable puppies are offered through general enquiries.

The fee is not a deposit on a particular puppy and does not reserve any specific puppy.

If you later purchase an allocated puppy from Le Epitome Kennels, the full Waiting List Fee paid will be deducted from the puppy purchase price.

Because the waiting-list service and administration begin once your position is activated, the fee is generally non-refundable if you:

• cancel or withdraw;
• purchase a puppy elsewhere;
• decide you are no longer ready for a puppy;
• cease responding to our communications;
• materially change your requirements after joining;
• decline a puppy that reasonably matches the preferences, timing and household circumstances recorded in your application; or
• otherwise choose not to proceed for reasons not caused by Le Epitome Kennels.

Declining an alternative puppy that does not reasonably match your recorded preferences or household will not, by itself, cause you to lose your position or forfeit the fee.

Le Epitome Kennels may, at our discretion, agree to carry your position forward, amend your recorded preferences, offer another puppy or refund all or part of the fee where we consider that appropriate.

Nothing in our waiting-list process limits any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand consumer law.

Future Puppy Reservation and Allocation Agreement

Applicants accepted onto the paid waiting list will be required to sign Le Epitome Kennels’ Future Puppy Reservation and Allocation Agreement.

That agreement contains the complete terms governing your waiting-list position, puppy preferences, future allocation, reservation payments, cancellation, rollover arrangements and the treatment of the Waiting List Fee. This website page is a plain-English summary and does not replace the signed agreement.

Complimentary Starter Insurance Cover

If you are later allocated and purchase a Le Epitome Kennels puppy, eligible buyers can apply for four weeks of complimentary PD Insurance Starter Cover through our Dogs New Zealand breeder arrangement.

The Starter Cover provides up to NZD $1,000 of cover for eligible accidental injury and illness, with no excess payable on Starter Cover claims. Activation information is provided in our Puppy Buyer Information Pack before collection.

Cover is not automatic. Eligibility, policy terms, exclusions and claims are determined and administered by PD Insurance.
